Just lately filmmakers have clicked into gear when it comes to reflecting the impact cyberland is having on our lives. David Fincher's seriously classy Facebook origin story The Social Network gets a one-two follow-up this month, with US indie **Catfish **and Hideo Nakata's thriller Chatroom hitting our screens.
While the first two have their share of brutal moments, expect **Chatroom **to major entirely on the darkest nooks and crannies of the internet. Nakata, after all, scared the hell out of anyone with a pulse with The Ring. His first original English-language story is set around a group of disaffected youths who become friends online... and when we say 'friends', we mean 'psychologically suspect cyber-bullies'.
The group intimidate, manipulate and generally drive each other to the edge. As Aaron Johnson explains, his character, William, is the smartest guy in the chatroom and potentially the baddest of the bunch. Click below to find out more.
**Chatroom **is out on December 22.
