Of this year's movie crushes to date, Adèle Blanc-Sec is top of the tree. Smart, tough and eye-popping beautiful, she's part Indiana Jones, part 1920s siren. And on top of all that, she has a whole bunch of extraordinary adventures. What's not to pin to the nearest Wall of Awesome?
She's played by talented newcomer Louise Bourgoin. This new clip from **The Extraordinary Adventures Of Adèle Blanc-Sec **shows her face-to-face with her nemesis, the dentally challenged Dieuleveult, a villain played by an unrecognisable Mathieu Amalric.
While this all owes an obvious debt to Raiders' Well of Souls, Luc Besson cranks up the supernatural long before the final reel. There are airborne dinosaurs, reanimated mummys and the greatest use of mind-powers this side of Derren Brown's Christmas wishlist. There's a lot to love here, trust us.
**The Extraordinary Adventures Of Adèle Blanc-Sec **is out on April 22 and Empire's review can be found right here.
