Ethan Hawke is a brave man. He's signed to topline Daybreakers, a futuristic vampire movie. We all, of course, know that the futuristic vampire movie has been perfected by Kurt Wimmer with the peerless Ultraviolet and to touch that genre again is to only be second best and roundly ridiculed. (Please, before anyone posts below saying Ultraviolet was crap, re-read the previous sentence with eyes set to sarcasm).
In the film, written and directed by Peter and Michael Spierig, Hawke will play a researcher in the year 2017, where the world has been all but taken over by vampires. As the human race rapidly diminishes each feeding time the vampires start farming humans. But then a rogue group of bloodsuckers discover a secret that may save human kind. Look out, Ethan, they're bitey!
