Empire Presents Big Screen!

Forgive us for a moment while we break away from movie casting news to bring you an announcement of a rather different sort. This summer, ladies and gentlemen, sees the debut of a hugely exciting new movie event here in Blighty. The O2 in London will be playing host to the inaugural Empire Presents...BIG SCREEN on August 12 - August 14, a mammoth experience that will include movie previews and sneak peeks, live appearances by filmmakers, masterclasses, preview screenings and even a live-action Special Effects area.

The idea is simply to take Empire's wildly popular Movie-Con and make it bigger, better and more exciting, with far more special guest appearances, screenings, masterclasses, fireballs and stunts than ever before. But don't panic, regular Movie-Conners! Those of you who were enthusiastic about and committed to Movie-Con will get first dibs on this new and bigger event: you're hearing about it first here today, and you'll get priority booking on your tickets as part of your BIG SCREEN VIP status.

We will be announcing in the next issue of the magazine (on sale March 3) and online that for a £10 upfront commitment you will be able to be the first to see the schedule when it is published in May. At that point you can either be the first to buy a ticket (with that £10 knocked off) or receive a refund. We don't think you'll be disappointed: it's going to be everything you loved about Movie-Con with a whole lot more. And hey! With more tickets available, the agonies of phone booking just a moment too late should be a thing of the past.

Empire Presents... BIG SCREEN is going to be a major date on the movie calendar, and will take over The O2's Indigo2, Cineworld complex, London Piazza and Live Quarter. It's going to be, in other words, pretty mega. We'll see you there! In the meantime, if you have any questions just post them in the forum below and we'll do our best to explain everything...
