Michael Douglas is channelling his comedy side again. Never mind that the last time he did that resulted in The In-Laws, he’s signed on to star in The King Of California.
The Upside Of Anger’s Evan Rachel Wood has joined the cast in what is described as a quirky comedy that sees a teenage girl forced to take charge in the life of her eccentric father. Daddy dear (Douglas) has become convinced that there’s buried Spanish gold to be found in their neighbourhood. Trouble is, it’s apparently beneath the local Wal-Mart.
Making his debut behind the camera as well as writing is Michael Cahill, a man whose current claim to fame is a Faulkner award for writing.
