Dom Hemingway Pic Sees Jude Law And Richard E. Grant Stuck In The '70s

Underappreciated comedy gem The Matador came out in 2006, taking Pierce Brosnan and putting him in a pair of black leather pants and cowboy boots just to make you laugh. The mastermind behind The Matador, director Richard Shepard, hasn't made a movie since, but he's finally back with Dom Hemingway, and he's pulling a similar sartorial trick on stars Jude Law and Richard E. Grant, as the new still below proves.

Yes, that's a slightly-chunkier-than-normal Jude Law - his weight gain was for the film and the film alone - in an ill-fitting '70s suit, swigging a beer and boasting a pair of muttonchops that would make a ram blush. Then there's Withnail himself, complete with snazzy yellow shades and a single black glove.

If this still doesn't get you interested in the crime thriller, we're not sure what will. This plot synopsis, perhaps:

Dom Hemingway (Law) is a walking disaster area-cum-safecracker who's just got out of a 12-year stretch in prison, ready to collect his reward for keeping shtum in honour of his big boss, Mr. Fontaine (Demián Bichir). The trouble is, he's a swear-friendly mess, and even with the help of his best mate Dickie Black (Grant), he can't help but keep cocking everything up, getting into trouble with Fontaine's girlfriend, a car crash and his long-lost daughter Evelyn (Emilia Clarke).
