With Disney planning to unveil the first proper look at Sam Raimi’s Oz: The Great And Powerful at this year’s Comic-Con, the Mouse House is looking to generate a little early buzz by releasing the first teaser poster for the film, which you can find in our gallery below.
Planned as a prequel to The Wizard Of Oz, the new movie finds James Franco as Oscar Diggs, a charming, cheeky but shifty circus magician with little time for ethics. Whisked away from a dusty Kansas town to the magical land of Oz, he thinks he spots a chance for real fame, power and fortune, but then he meets three beautiful witches – Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced by his abilities. As he gets drawn deeper into the problems of Oz, he’ll have to figure out who is good and who is evil, while also realising his potential to be someone worthwhile.
With a script by Mitchell Kapner and David Lindsay-Abaire, Oz: The Great And Powerful is set to land in our cinemas on March 8, 2013.
