Leonardo DiCaprio is attached to play the godfather of gaming in Atari, a tale based on a script by Brian Hecker and Craig Sherman about the life and times of the company's founder, Nolan Bushnell.
The Hollywood Reporter says DiCaprio's production company, Appian Way, is overseeing the biopic about the engineering student, puzzle-lover and game enthusiast who went from fixing broken pinball machines to launching Atari Corp in the early '70s.
Gaming historians will know that Atari's first product was a little game called Pong, which led to hundreds of millions of dollars worth of video game sales and gave birth to a generation of goggle-eyed youths.
