Let the following story be a lesson to you readers. You must pay your taxes! Wesley Snipes has chosen to withdraw from Spike Lee's new movie, Miracle of St. Anna, due to difficulties leaving the US. The actor faced some trouble earlier this year when it came to light that he'd been not so much with the paying of his taxes. He's currently fighting the charges, which means he's unable to go to Italy for the duration of the movie's shoot. So, he's been replaced by Derek Luke.

This surely isn't a bad thing. Luke is a terrific actor (he was amazing in Catch A Fire) who is still making his name, while Snipes hasn't done anything particularly good since Blade in 1998. Some of you might say Blade II, but, well, we'll agree to disagree.

The movie follows four soldiers (one of them being Luke) who are part of the U.S. Army's all-black 92nd Division and get trapped behind enemy lines during battle. Resentful of the racist way they've been treated by their own government, the squad finds humanity in the small Tuscan village of St. Anna.
