Dark Shadows Premiere In London

It was a dark and stormy night in London's West End, appropriately enough, as Tim Burton and Johnny Depp's latest monster mash, Dark Shadows, arrived in town. The film, which casts the star as a vampire who escapes his coffin and returns to his ancestral home in the 1970s to restore the fortunes of his descendants, is yet another slice of gorgeously-realised weirdness from the pair. And judging by the screams from the crowd gathered for the premiere, people are pretty excited to see it.

The film also stars Michelle Pfeiffer, Chloe Grace Moretz, Jackie Earle Haley, Johnny Lee Miller, Bella Heathcote, Eva Green and Helena Bonham-Carter, all of whom were on hand to help launch it. It's no spoiler to say that Green plays the witch who curses Depp's Barnabas Collins with vampirism in the first place, nor that lots of things will be going bump in the night in an adaptation of the cult 1960s US TV show.

Dark Shadows comes out tomorrow. Watch it...if you dare! Mwahahaha (repeat to fade).
