This past weekend, attendees at the New York Comic-Con got to see a sizzle reel that included quick flashes of footage from the second season of Marvel and Netflix’s Daredevil. The streaming service has now put that reel online, so take a look below.
Season 1 was awesome. Watch the [@Daredevil](https://twitter.com/Daredevil) [#NYCC](https://twitter.com/hashtag/NYCC?src=hash) sizzle... Season 2 looks epic! > > — App Store (@AppStore) [October 12, 2015](https://twitter.com/AppStore/status/653651186835304448)
While it’s primarily puffing up the success of the first season and showing footage from that initial run featuring stars Charlie Cox, Elden Henson, Deborah Ann Woll, Vincent D’Onofrio, Rosario Dawson and more, if you’re patient you’ll see Elodie Yung’s Elektra Natchios – briefly referenced in an episode this year and destined to re-enter Matt Murdock’s life in a big way – and Jon Bernthal’s take on Frank Castle, AKA The Punisher. The latter Marvel stalwart will be just as mysterious and troublesome for Matt, who doesn’t know whether he can trust the heavily armed vigilante.
Expect more stunts and more of Daredevil’s red suit this time around, plus potentially more tantalising hints of how the series will intertwine with fellow adaptations Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist for the Defenders miniseries.
Daredevil’s second season doesn’t have an official launch date yet, but should be on screens in April next year, assuming it keeps to the same schedule as the first. Jessica Jones, meanwhile, will start streaming on November 20.
