It's tough to keep a relationship interesting in Hollywood. You're both working all the time, you never see each other, you're surrounded by pretty people. So, the best way to actually get to see your beloved on a daily basis is to work with them. And you get paid for it too! So, Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly will be marriage exciting as they prepare to star in Born.
This is, however, no cosy, 'my god I LOVE you' romantic-comedy. This psychological thriller, produced by Guillermo Del Toro, Lawrence Gordon and Lloyd Levin, exec-produced by Clive Barker and super-exec produced by some guy, concerns a couple who settle in a sleepy English town. But, like all sleepy English towns, this one holds creepies and the husband, a claymation artist, discovers that his little animated characters are acting out a nightmare that comes to life, scaring the wiggins out of people who'd prefer to keep their wiggins inside where they belong, thank you.
Daniel Simpson will direct from a script he wrote with Barker and Paul Kaye (we're guessing not the Dennis Pennis guy). The animation team behind the cute title sequence to Elf and all of Team America will bring life to the evil pieces of PlayDoh.
Now, is that not the greatest idea for a movie this year? You with your hands up: you are correct. You with your hands down: pay attention and stay in school.
