We’ve had a bevy of images (including some new exclusives in the latest Empire), the motion poster and now the first teaser trailer for the reboot of Conan the Barbarian has stomped online courtesy of Yahoo. What is best in life? The fact that you can watch it below.
Okay, so that iconic chunk of Arnie-fuelled dialogue doesn’t crop up in the footage, but then there’s not an awful lot of footage to speak off anyway. Mostly, this a virtual fire vision of Conan doing a couple of moves, getting insulted and then explaining what his life is all about. Puppies and marshmallow dreams! Okay, not so much – he’s all about the slaying, which apparently is why he has trouble getting dates on eHarmony.
It’s far too hard to judge what the final product will be from this, but we’re sure the full trailer will be on its way within a couple of months. Which is when we’ll get to see more of Jason Momoa’s new barbarian as he avenges his father’s death and rages across Hyboria. Ron Perlman, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Rose McGowan and Said Taghmaoui are also among the cast, and Marcus Nispel called the shots.
