20th Century Fox has bought the spec script from brothers Tom and Tim Mullen, who have cooked up the idea of a wild and crazy couple who bond with a less excitable pair while on holiday in Mexico. But once the four of them return home, the regular couple just want to return to their quiet life, only to find that their newfound friends are looking to keep the party going. Given their proven comic talents, we can see Faris and Pratt working well as the crazy side of that dynamic, and they've proven they can be funny together on screen in the past.
Hot Tub Time Machine/About Last Night man Steve Pink is on board to direct, with the shoot set for later this year, assuming everyone can find a spot in their busy schedules.
Pratt, who has just enjoyed 'toon success with The Lego Movie, will next be seen on screen in Guardians Of The Galaxy, which lands here on August 1, while Faris is on small screens in the sitcom Mom.
