Casting klaxon! The week is barely a couple of days old, but Lionsgate is ready to announce yet another piece of casting for Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire. This time, it’s the turn of District 1’s Cashmere, who will be played in the movie by Stephanie Leigh Schlund.

Cashmere, as fans of the books will know, is a former Career Tribute from the powerful District 1, who ends up competing in the 75th Hunger Games alongside brother Gloss (Alan Ritchson). Schlund kicked off her screen career as a model on The Price Is Right, and has been seen in the likes of The Last Song.

She and her sibling match up against Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) and the rest. They’re joining a cast that also includes Philip Seymour Hoffman, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Amanda Plummer, Tony Shalhoub, Lynn Cohen, Donald Sutherland, Lenny Kravitz and Toby Jones.

With Francis Lawrence directing this time, Catching Fire starts shooting next month ready for a November 22, 2013 release date.
