Call it the equal opportunities awards show. At this year’s Golden Globe Awards, handed out as always by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, there were prizes for plenty of films and TV series, with Birdman and Boyhood coming out ahead of the pack.

Boyhood went home with the Best Drama award, Best Director for Richard Linklater and Best Supporting Actress for Patricia Arquette, while Birdman nabbed Best Screenplay, as well as Best Actor (Drama) for Michael Keaton. Still, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Theory Of Everything, Selma,** Still Alice**, Big Eyes, Whiplash and even How To Train Your Dragon 2 won something. The latter was a surprise winner in the animation category over the likes of The Lego Movie and Big Hero 6.

In the world of TV, the big four US networks came away empty-handed as cable shows and, in a more surprising move, the streaming services such as Amazon and Netflix took well deserved prizes. Amazon’s Transparent in particular was a welcome winner, with Showtime’s The Affair also doing well. Most surprising of all? Gina Rodriguez winning Best Actress, Comedy Or Musical TV Series for Jane The Virgin, prompting a heartfelt, funny speech.

It was an awards show dominated by causes (Je Suis Charlie among them), stories of home and family in speeches and a lot of jokes about North Korea. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted, but were largely absent after a typically funny opening series of gags about everything from Bill Cosby to how their nominee and celeb-filled audience was “a bunch of despicable, spoiled, minimally talented brats...”

Here, then, is your complete line-up of the winners for 2015. Did you agree with them? Disagree? Sound off below or on Twitter…
