Maria Bello and Craig T. Nelson have added further heft to the heavyweight cast assembled for John Wells’ topical drama, The Company Men.

Ben Affleck, Tommy Lee Jones and Kevin Costner had already signed on to the movie, which examines the impact of corporate downsizing on a cast of disparate characters.

Bello will play a human resources VP who has to fire Affleck from his job at a company that’s been forced to make cuts. Nelson will play the global conglomerate’s CEO.

Wells, the creator of ER, wrote and will direct the movie, which starts shooting in Boston any… time… now. Should be worth keeping an eye on – this could be a dark horse for next year’s Oscar race, if all comes together in time.
