It’s already been targeted for a remake by Julia Roberts’ production company, but the trailer for Batkid Begins is now online. Take a look below and wonder whether it’s getting dusty in the room...

Directed and produced by Dana Nachman, the documentary follows the build-up and to and events of November 15, 2013, which saw Miles Scott, a five year-old from Northern California whose Make-A-Wish request was to be Batman for a day. The result was one of the biggest events of its kind, with San Francisco turned into Gotham City for a day so Miles could aid Batman on a crime-fighting mission. Thousands of supporters turn out to help, and the day became a massive presence on social media.

Exploring the phenomenon, the documentary chronicles the initial campaign, the build-up and the day itself, with commentary from the family, those involved in bringing the wish to life and even looking at the impact it had with those who have worked on the Batman movies. **Batkid Begins **played several festivals in the US and arrives in cinemas across the pond in limited release on June 26. There’s no word on a UK date just yet.
