Bruce Springsteen wants you. Not literally - that would be weird - but via a crowd-sourced documentary that will compile great Boss clips, stories and personal tales into a unique music documentary that will reach our screens next year.

Springsteen & I** has been commissioned by Ridley Scott's Black Dog Films, which is calling on Springsteen fans to submit footage, clips and visuals to help create a patchwork of tales that match the storytelling of the man himself.
As director Baillie Walsh (Flashbacks Of A Fool) tells Empire, it's inspired by another innovative project from Sir Ridders' team. "I loved Day In A Life. It's the internet that made it film possible and the idea of using technology in that way is something that attracted me to this."
If Kevin Macdonald's **Day In A Life **offered a worldwide snapshotyou'd need to be Superman to get for yourself, Walsh is planning to take us on a similarly global journey. "Obviously he's a hero in his hometown in New Jersey," says Walsh, "but why do people pick out Bruce in Japan or Korea or even the UK?"
Which is where you come in. Clips need to be under five minutes long and can be uploaded straight to www.springsteenandi.com in a variety of formats, from smartphones to high-definition cameras to still photographs, up until November 29. "[Springsteen's] a great storyteller and he inspires that kind of response from his fans," says Walsh. "I want examples of how Bruce's music affects peoples' live. It's not necessarily about concerts and live footage; we're looking for personal, and if possible, visual stories."
So is the director a Tramp himself? "I've always appreciated Bruce but without being a big fan," he says. "I think, in a way, that's a good thing for this film because I'm not coming to it with my tracklist and my stories. Listen, I'm certainly coming to appreciate him and his storytelling abilities. Hopefully by the end I'll be an enormous fan!"
