Arnie Talks Up The New Terminator

He may well be back...

Terminator: Rise Of The Machines

It’s not every day that Arnold Schwarzenegger jets into London, but with his latest, The Last Stand, premiering here, the Governator set his internal response system to “promote” instead of “fuck you asshole” and sat down with some co-stars to talk about it. There, he also dropped mention of other projects on the bubble, including Twins sequel Triplets,** King Conan** and, because no instalment of the franchise would surely be complete without him, The Terminato****r.

He didn’t spill much in the way of details, but having Arnie actually say he’s involved (when he's only been rumoured before) is enough for now. Of course, there has been no official announcement from Megan Ellison’s Annapurna Pictures company, which has been developing the new Terminator outing (and recently hired Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier to script it), and it’s probably still just in discussion, but at least he appears to be in the mix.

The bigger question, of course, is what form his involvement will take. With all due respect to the man, he doesn’t look like he did in his T-800 days, so you’d have to figure the ‘borg will be performance capture if it appears at all. Or he could be a completely different character. But we really all just want to see the man himself back on screen in his most iconic role.

His latest, The Last Stand, hits cinemas on Thursday night and you can read our massive, exclusive Arnie interview online now. We also had a Pod-chat with him, so expect that up soon.
