With the film arriving late next month on these shores, the promotional campaign for the new take on Conan the Barbarian is ramping up, with yet another trailer hitting the web.
This one appears to be playing up more of the plot and the slightly forced banter between Conan (Jason Momoa) and Tamara (Rachel Nichols). But there’s still plenty of room for Stephen Lang’s snarling villain Khalar Zym and another look at Ron Perlman as Corin, AKA Conan’s pop.
As for the story itself, there’s surely not a lot to tell, but **Conan **doesn't really need it: Zym’s invading forces wreck the young Conan’s village and slaughter his dad, leading the Cimmerian to swear a bloody oath of vengeance against the supernaturally-aided bad guy. Along the way, he crosses paths with Tamara and also must deal with slinky, freaky witch type Marique (Rose McGowan). All the while spilling blood, breaking heads and generally being the barbarian he was born to be.
Don’t forget that Conan will have a huge presence at next month’s Big Screen event running August 12-14, where you’ll be able to get a much better glimpse before the movie itself invades on August 26.
