Given that the holy holiday of Easter is almost upon is, it seems only fitting that the studios would be releasing a torrent of swearing and violence. Following on from yesterday’s Change-Up trailer, now comes the first promo for action comedy 30 Minutes or Less, starring Jesse Eisenberg and Danny McBride.

The movie finds Eisenberg reuniting with his Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer for a madcap tale of small-town pizza delivery boy Nick who runs afoul of two criminal types (McBride and Nick Swardson) who have hatched what they think is a genius plan: kidnap the unassuming Nick, strap a bomb to him and force him to rob a bank within a certain time limit.

Nick does what any sane person would do, and heads straight to get his best pal, Chet (Aziz Ansari) to help. Sadly for him, the pair are not exactly on speaking terms and Chet’s none too pleased that Nick would walk into the school where he works wearing a bomb. But soon the pair is wrapped up in a chaotic adventure.

From the looks of this first trailer – which, by the way, contains plenty of adult dialogue and descriptions of sexual situations, plus some car-on-car violence – the standout here will be Ansari, who is usually to be found stealing scenes on TV sitcom Parks & Recreation (if you’ve never seen it, find a way to do just that – it’s ace). McBride and Swardson look to be playing variations on lunkheads they do so well and it’ll be nice to see Eisenberg back on nervy comedy form.

Take a look at the trailer below. The film is out on October 7.
