Captain America: The Winter Soldier seems a long way away, its May 2014 release date feeling like a glimmer in the distance rather than a helicarrier crashing into the earth. So if you're jonesing hard for some Son Of Coul action - and don't mind watching the television box-ma-thing to get your fix - then Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. is just the ticket, and here below are a new batch of snaps from the set to get you extra-excited.
Featuring Clark Gregg as the mysteriously re-incarnated Agent Phil Coulson, the show will focus on a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization.
Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson’s team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius biochemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet). And who could Firefly's Ron Glass be playing? First, second and third guess: a scientist.
Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air in the US on ABC starting September 24. We await word on its UK release. In the mean time, check out the teaser trailer below, and be sure to read out reaction the pilot shown at Comic-Con this year over in this direction.
