Dwayne Johnson to some, The Rock to others, The Artist Formerly Known As The Brahma Bull is turning into a bit of an institution thanks to his fine work as "franchise viagra" for the Fast And The Furious and G.I. Joe franchises. So perhaps it should come as no surprise that his **Fast Five **character, Luke Hobbs, is set for a spin-off movie - something The Rock and his team are looking to do before Fast & Furious 7 comes along.
Talking to Empire at the** G.I. Joe: Retaliation** junket yesterday - expect the full interview next week - he suggested a new order for the series as it currently stands, with the no-nonsense lawman Hobbs set to get his own cinematic crack of the whip (ideally with new Fast & Furious 6 police partner Gina "Haywire" Carano in tow) before** Fast & Furious 7** comes to town.
brightcove.createExperiences();"Possibly" is definitely the word of the day there, but still - it's a very interesting titbit indeed. As for what to expect from a Luke Hobbs spin-off movie, of course that's not been decided yet, which means it's time for you to conjecture to your heart's content. Does he break bad and become a car thief too? Is there an even bigger villain for him to hunt down after **Fast Six's **Owen Shaw (as played by Luke Evans)? What does this mean for these spoilery rumours currently kicking about the internet?
Perhaps more importantly, what should the spin-off be called? Have a gander at this poll below and let us know.
