Shameless Series 3 Review

Here’s the series that fans of Paul Abbott’s blisteringly funny drama watched with the greatest anticipation yet. How would the Chatsworth Estate’s most dysfunctional family cope without Fiona, the eldest daughter and sole, if strident, voice of reason? And more to the point, how would the series fare without the delicious romance between her and the charming Steve?

Predictably enough, Shameless does suffer from the loss of two of its best-loved characters. However, the absence of Fiona allows younger sis Debbie to step up to the matriarchal role, while Mandy and Lip provide the romance. There’s still plentyof life in this excellent series yet.
