Peep Show: Series 2 Review

Peep Show: Series 2

Being John Malkovich crossed with Revenge Of The Nerds, Peep Show follows the sordid lives of two flatmates — socially inept geek Mark (David Mitchell) and dim-witted, arrogant layabout Jeremy (Robert Webb). The camera shoots from the point-of-view of the characters, with the pair’s pathetic thought processes providing narration. Dark and excruciating, it’s no wonder Ricky Gervais hailed Series 1 as the best comedy of its year. This second outing isn’t quite as gob-smacking, but cringing on your sofa as Super Hans smokes crack is hilarious as ever.
