While the show currently winds down Steve Carell’s tenure (his final episodes hopefully given a comedic bump by Will Ferrell as a guest), Season 5 offers prime Carell material, notably during the Michael Scott Paper Company story, which sees him attempt his own business. But it’s not all up to that standard — the fatigue that affects later seasons began to creep in, and some plots, like Angela and Andy’s abortive romance, just don’t work as well.
