Carmela Soprano is dead: long live Nurse Jackie. To create one unforgettable character is lucky, to create two takes skill, and Edie Falco has succeeded with her portrayal of a morally bankrupt New York nurse. We discover that Jackie enjoys her prescription meds as much as their dispenser (another Sopranos alum, Paul ‘Father Phil’ Schulze), and watch her lie, cheat and trick her way through family life and a hectic ER.
