Fame: Seasons 1 & 2 Box Set Review

Fans who bought the first season of Fame last year should buy season two separately, as this double-season set offers scant extra goodies. Still, it’s a great trip down memory lane for those who loved the show. Lee Curreri, Debbie Allen and Gene Anthony Ray reprise their roles from Alan Parker’s film, but the original’s edginess is dulled down into after-school-special territory, with extreme dieting and self-belief motifs in among the great dance numbers.
