Lightweight and hugely formulaic, the feud between the good ol Duke boys (aided by shapely cousin Daisy) and the nefarious Boss Hogg (unaided by dimwit Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane) was a massively popular highlight of early 80s TV.
Today, Hazzards considerable charm endures, even if the sheer predictability is wearing. And when the shows undisputed star, The General Lee, jumps over yet another ravine, the urge to shout "YEE-HA!" is strong.
