Rowling’s non-magical bestseller, this tells the story of an everyday sort of tragedy, where one good man’s death causes profound change for an entire village. An excellent cast, in particular newcomer Abigail Lawrie, tell a socially conscious story of greed and alienation that is depressingly believable.
