Battlestar Galactica: Season 4 Review

Really only half a season, curtailed by the writers’ strike, this penultimate helping of TV’s The Greatest Space Drama Ever™ is still gripping, essential viewing, but more compressed and frenetically paced than the three seasons that preceded it. This time, Starbuck’s going crazy following her apparent death and unexplained return; Apollo’s turned into a politician (ugh), Baltar’s a cult leader and President Roslyn has cancer again. But it rushes towards the finale — only to leave us on a cliffhanger until next January. Still, as a bonus here we get the Razor prequel/side-quel, which further enriches the series.
