One of Foxs first TV dramas, this tackled what were, for that time, controversial subjects teenage pregnancy, AIDS, suicide and child abuse. Twenty years on, such daring remains admirable, yet the corny scripts, frightwigs and Bontempi keyboard soundtrack are incredibly dated.
The series is notable, though, as Johnny Depps springboard to fame playing a baby-faced undercover cop (spookily hes still barely aged a day). By 1990 hed moved to bigger, brighter things.
