TV series adapted from Israeli formats have become a big thing in the last few years – Euphoria, Homeland and In Treatment are just three recent examples. Apple TV+ is getting in on the action with Suspicion, a new kidnap thriller that stars Uma Thurman, Kunal Nayyar, Noah Emmerich and Elizabeth Henstridge, among others. Check out the trailer for the show.
And now, let's go to the synopsis! "When the son of a prominent American businesswoman (Thurman) is kidnapped from a New York hotel, the eye of suspicion quickly falls on four seemingly ordinary British citizens who were at the hotel on the night in question. As they find themselves in a trans-Atlantic cat and mouse race to evade the combined forces of the National Crime Agency and the FBI to prove their innocence, it becomes apparent that not everyone can be trusted. Who is really behind the mysterious abduction, and who is only guilty of being in the wrong place at the wrong time?"
Georgina Campbell, Elyes Gabel, Tom Rhys-Harries and Angel Coulby all appear in the show, which hails from Man In The High Castle's Rob Williams. The first two episodes will land on the service on 4 February, with one a week for six weeks after that.
