Looks like Lionsgate saw what Warner Bros. Discovery is aiming to do with Harry Potter and said to itself, "Let's try that!" Or at least something similar as The Hollywood Reporter brings word that a Twilight TV series is at an early stage.
Sinead Daly, whose credits include Walking Dead: World Beyond and Raised By Wolves is attached to write the script for a potential Twilight show. THR reports that Daly is working with Lionsgate TV to determine what the specific take on the story will be and if it will be a remake of author Stephanie Meyer’s books about the star-crossed love between lip-chewing human high schooler Bella (Kristen Stewart in the movies) and brooding, sparkly vampire Edward (Robert Pattinson) or a different offshoot.
So it remains to be seen if we'll be meeting a new take on Bella, Edward and the rest, or if this will be a whole new story. What we do know is that Meyer is involved, and the producers behind the wildly successful movie series are also attached.
Given how early it is for this one, no home has been locked in, but it's a popular enough title that we're sure streamers will be interested…
