The first planned spin-off from Matt Reeves' The Batman is now in production, with Colin Farrell back in the latex as "Oz" Cobblepot, better known as the Penguin, a crime figure plotting a swift rise up the ranks. An initial teaser for the show has landed online and you can see it:
Precious few details are available for this one, which will follow on from the events of the movie as Oz looks to consolidate his power base.
Lauren LeFranc is head writer and showrunner, with Craig Zobel directing the first three episodes and setting the tone for the series, which also includes Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo and Deirdre O’Connell and Clancy Brown among its cast.
The Penguin will be on screens next year.
