Of all of Apple TV+’s run of starry streaming series, one seemed to garner more headlines than any other: The Morning Show. With Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston and Steve Carell among its cast and a story taking in timely #TimesUp themes, the series depicting the inner workings of American breakfast TV became the most talked-about show in Apple’s roster – and now it’s gearing up for a second season arriving at the end of the summer. It’s just been confirmed that The Morning Show Season 2 will start streaming from 17 September this year – and here’s the first trailer for its long-awaited return.

With the main cast all returning, Season 2 looks to follow the continued fallout of the harassment allegations that formed the central thread of the first run, with Aniston’s Alex Levy having left The Morning Show, and Witherspoon’s Bradley Jackson still working for TMS, now alongside Hasan Minhaj’s incoming co-presenter Eric. The cast for this one is absolutely stacked – Carell, Billy Crudup, Bel Powley, Marcia Gay Harden, Mark Duplass and Nestor Carbonell are all back, and this season also brings in The Good Wife’s Julianna Margulies as UBA news anchor Laura Peterson.

Season 2 is set to consist of 10 episodes, and will be dropping weekly on Fridays starting from 17 September.
