Shooting on HBO's adaptation of hit console game The Last Of Us has been underway for a while now under the aegis of Chernobyl's Craig Mazin. With Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey playing the two main characters, an initial look at the show is online via game producers Naughty Dog.

The show's story will roughly follow that of the game, set 20 years after civilization was taken down by a deadly fungus. Pascal's hardened survivor Joel is hired to smuggle Ramsey's Ellie out of an oppressive quarantine zone, but that's only the beginning of their journey...

The cast includes Gabriel Luna as Joel’s brother Tommy, Nico Parker as Joel’s daughter Sarah, and Merle Dandridge reprising her video game role of Marlene, the leader of the Fireflies resistance group struggling for power against the government’s military regime.

The Last Of Us should debut on screens next year, though it doesn't have an official date yet.
