Alright, geezers! Your time has come: if you were one of those who propelled Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen series to the top of the Netflix chart when it debuted in March, your efforts have paid off. The show was an instant hit on the streamer, and so it’s little surprise that there’ll be more to come from its world of gangsters, barons, and wheeler-dealers. Netflix has confirmed that The Gentlemen will officially return for Season 2, continuing the exploits of Theo James’ ‘Captain’ Eddie and Kaya Scodelario’s Susie.
Details for what exactly Season 2 will bring are scarce for now, but reports indicate that James and Scodelario are expected to return – and Ritchie will be back as both writer and director, penning scripts alongside co-writer Matthew Read. The series span off from Ritchie’s 2019 film of the same name, expanding its world of drug-dealing aristocrats – and it earned solid reviews, as well as dominating Netflix’s own charts. Quite where Ritchie finds the time is unclear: his latest film The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare recently launched on Prime Video, hot on the heels of Operation Fortune: Ruse Du Guerre and The Covenant, and he’s already shot his next two features, In The Grey and Fountain Of Youth.
Among all of that, The Gentlemen Season 2 is expected to shoot in 2025 – so stay tuned for updates later around when it’ll hit the screen.
