Okay guys, we’re as gutted as you are to hear that the upcoming fourth season of Succession will be the last one ever. But! That also means that the episodes we’re about to see, in just a few weeks’ time, are the last ones ever. And that means that some incredible drama is about to go down, as the Roys thrash out just who is going to take control of the family company. A new trailer for Season 4 was released today, and shows a whole lot of as-yet-unseen footage, giving a good indication of exactly who’s fighting who. Have a watch below.
First off, the deal between Logan (Brian Cox) and Lukas Mattson (Alexander Skarsgård) from Season 3 looks like it’s rolling along nicely, with the Scandi streamer entrepreneur set to buy out Waystar. After being horribly betrayed by both their mother and Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) in the previous season finale, siblings Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Shiv (Sarah Snook) and Roman (Kieran Culkin) are essentially out of the company. Their next move? Apparently, teaming up with rival media company Pierce and previous bearhug-attempters Sandy and Stewie, to try and take back power.
Tom and Greg (Nicholas Braun) are clearly still Team Logan, chanting his name on the ATN floor, though remain terrified at just what the patriarch has planned. Cousin Greg gets the standout line of the trailer, in fact, as he describes Logan moseying around the newsroom – “It’s like if Santa Claus was a hitman.” This is a Santa that much prefers cold-hard cash to cookies.
Season 4 of Succession arrives on Sky and NOW from Monday 27 March.
