Succession Scores A Fourth Season

In news that should surprise almost no-one (except perhaps memelord Cousin Greg), Succession has just been handed a fourth season renewal by US cable channel HBO.

Though the show enjoyed lower ratings than some of its stablemates, the response to the rich, rude story of billionaire business mogul Logan Roy (Brian Cox) and his squabbling brood of grown-up (in all ways but socially) kids has been outstanding, and the third season, which debuted earlier this month, scored a healthy boost and one of the channel's biggest premieres for a while.

With Emmy awards under its belt, memes-aplenty and great buzz for the entire cast alongside creator Jesse Armstrong and his writers' stinging scripts, the series has gone from strength to strength. Pilot TV has a special podcast up discussing the show and featuring interviews with castmembers including Cox, Matthew Macfadyen, Sarah Snook and more, while Empire devoted an entire feature to the best lines...

Season 3 continues to air in the UK on Sky Atlantic early on Mondays. We don't yet know when to expect the fourth, but best guess would be late in 2022.
