We reported recently that Sterling K. Brown was looking to show off his action skills in a new film from John Wick writer Derek Kolstad. He'll also aim to blend action with comedy for a new Amazon series that will co-star WandaVision's Randall Park.
The new show, which is still in a relatively early development stage (and doesn't have an announced title yet), comes from Alex Tse, who wrote the Watchmen movie, SuperFly, and created an upcoming series about the Wu-Tang Clan for US streaming service Hulu. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it's being described as in the vein of 1982's 48 Hrs.. The story focuses on two estranged childhood best friends, to be played by Brown and Park, who now find themselves on opposite sides of the law. Framed and on the run, the two must survive each other long enough to clear their names and stop an international criminal enterprise.
Both the actors are on as producers for what sounds like it could be a fun series.
