As it races like a speeding starship towards the start of shooting this spring, the Disney+ Star Wars series focusing on Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi is boosting its cast count. Game Of Thrones veteran Indira Varma is the latest to hop aboard.
McGregor will be returning to the role of the legendary Jedi Master, picking up his story in the years after Revenge Of The Sith, while Hayden Christensen will play Darth Vader (we're wondering if there might also be flashbacks to him as Anakin Skywalker, even if it means utilising a slight digital de-aging pass).
There's no word yet on the exact story and Varma's character is, unsurprisingly, a total mystery for now. We do at least know that The Mandalorian director Deborah Chow will be overseeing the shoot, employing the StageCraft technology used to bring that series' expansive visuals to life.
