There are a variety of Star Wars series headed to Disney+ in the coming months (and years), but one still shrouded in more mystery than others is Leslye Headland's The Acolyte. We do at least now have some idea of who will star in the show, as Amandla Stenberg has reportedly nabbed the lead.

Headland's show is set at the end of the High Republic era, roughly 200 years before Luke Skywalker's time. It's here that the earlier republic began to crumble and the dark side emerged.

Stenberg, who has appeared in the likes of The Hate U Give and this year's Dear Evan Hansen, is, according to The Illuminerdi's sources, playing a character called Aura. Though as the site points out, that could all be a smokescreen, a code name to keep rumour hunters such as themselves off the track. The trade sites have since confirmed that they'll join the show, but couldn't ferret out any other information.

With Headland as head writer and showrunner, the series is scheduled to start shooting next year.
