It wasn't just film folk who nabbed praise and took home trophies at this year's Independent Spirit Awards. For the second year running, television show categories were also handed out, with both Netflix's Squid Game and FX/Disney+'s Reservation Dogs doing well.

Squid Game, of course, already made history by featuring the first Korean TV cast members to win at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, and Lee Jung-Jae added to his haul with the Best Male Performance in a New Scripted Series. The Underground Railroad's Thuso Mbedu won Best Female Performance in a New scripted Series.

Reservation Dogs, meanwhile, co-created by Taika Waititi and Sterlin Harjo, got Best Ensemble Cast in a New Scripted Series and Best New Scripted Series. Black And Missing, an HBO series, was named Best New Non-Scripted or Documentary Series.
