Apple has been very happy with the performance of Slow Horses, commissioning new seasons in batches rather than just handing them out one at a time. Season 3 is already in the can (and a fourth has gone before cameras) and now we know that Gangs Of London's Ṣọpẹ Dìrísù will be joining the cast.
Based on Mick Herron's books (Season 3 will draw from book three, Real Tigers), Slow Horses follows a gang of misfit MI5 operatives demoted to Slough House after making career-ending mistakes. They're led by Gary Oldman's sloppy (but still a great spy) Jackson Lamb.
Dìrísù is playing Sean Donovan, the former head of security at the British embassy in Istanbul, who will be revealed as having a romantic connection to one of the main characters. And the Slough House team will have to work together when one of them is kidnapped by a rogue agent.
Season 3 doesn't have a date to land on the streaming service yet, but we can likely expect it this spring.
