He may have missed out on an Oscar nomination and another chance to add to his growing trophy collection, but One Night In Miami's Kingsley Ben-Adir has instead scored a much-coveted accolade. He'll play a role in Marvel's Secret Invasion series alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn.
Marvel is being typically, er, secret about the Disney+ series, but we do know that Ben-Adir will be playing a villain in the story, which finds Jackson's Nick Fury and Captain Marvel co-star Mendelsohn's Skull Talos working to stop a faction of the latter's race, who are infiltrating Earth. The shape-shifters have been hiding in plain sight for years and causing trouble. So chances are Ben-Adir will be the leader of the faction.
Secret Invasion has Kyle Bradstreet on as head writer, but there's no schedule for when the show might drop yet, especially given that it's still at an early stage. Meanwhile, why not read about Dominique Thorne being cast as Riri Williams in fellow Disney+ seriesIronheart?
