The Twilight Zone returned to screens last year via Jordan Peele, but there's clearly still room for shows where the impossible seems probable and the human experience is explored. With Matt Reeves among its executive producers, Tales From The Loop has a teaser on the web.
Reeves isn't directly working on the series (he's been a little busy), and this is really creator/writer Nathaniel Halpern's show, with Rebecca Hall, Jonathan Pryce, Paul Schneider, Daniel Zolghadri and Duncan Joiner among the cast.
Tales From The Loop uses the imagery of retro sci-fi artist Simon Stålenhag (created custom posters for the series – see one below) to craft a show that explores the town and people who live above "The Loop," a machine built to unlock and explore the mysteries of the universe – making things possible that were previously relegated only to science fiction. In this fantastical mysterious place, poignant human tales are told by baring universal emotional experiences, while drawing on the intrigue of genre storytelling. Definitely taking a page from the book of The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits then, though it appears to be less of an anthology offering.
Tales From The Loop will premiere on Amazon on 3 April.
