Arlington Road

Back in 1999, Mark Pellington directed a thriller called Arlington Road that, while it didn't set the box office alight, had a tone of suburban paranoia and conspiracy theories that certainly feels relevant to today's world. Which might explain why Pellington and US streaming service Paramount+ are working up a TV series.

The Alienist's Seth Fisher is writing the adaptation, with Pellington directing. The original film, written by Ehren Kruger, starred Jeff Bridges as a widowed University professor who suspects his new neighbours (Tim Robbins and Joan Cusack) are involved in terrorism and becomes obsessed with foiling their plot...

You can watch the trailer for the 1999 movie below, and it'll be interesting to see what the new show has to say about the concept. And, given that it's headed for Paramount+, when and where it might arrive in the UK.
