We'll get it out of the way first — yes, we've heard every joke about "Dead Ringers? Hurr hurr, is this the Radio 4 impressions show?" No, it is not. What it is is a new TV adaptation of David Cronenberg's 1988 thriller, this time starring Rachel Weisz. Check out the trailer…

Weisz here plays Elliot and Beverly Mantle, twins who share everything: drugs, lovers, and an unapologetic desire to do whatever it takes… including pushing the boundaries of medical ethics—in an effort to challenge antiquated practices and bring women’s health care to the forefront. No way there's a downside to that, right?

Well, given that the twins are potentially psychopathic, we're going to say it's a big ol' yes.

This new limited series is created, written, and executive produced by Emmy-nominated writer and playwright Alice Birch, a veteran of shows such as Succession and Normal People. The cast also includes Britne Oldford as Genevieve, Poppy Liu as Greta, Michael Chernus as Tom, Jennifer Ehle as Rebecca, and Emily Meade as Susan.

Dead Ringers will debut all six episodes at once on Prime Video on 21 April.
